About Martin Collins

Worked as general manager at Honey Creek Mall for 7 years. Three years at Famous Corndog/Swiss Pretzel and four years at Disk Jockey Music and Movie store. Went to Ivy Tech and got a degree in Networking and Computer science. Started working at Indiana State University in 2008 with the web team. Started ISU's social media program the same month Coke and Pepsi started their social media programs. Web help desk coordinator for entire university staff and faculty. Web trainer for all ISU employees. Producer and creator of the Sycamore Podcast. Helped migrate and support the entire university into Microsoft Web and SharePoint intranet in 2009-2010. The university switch to Drupal in 2013. I learned Drupal Site Building as well as getting my 4 year degree from ISU. My ending GPA was 3.9. I helped migrate all of the colleges into Drupal systems of their own from 2014-2017. I trained all of the college admins and their employees. Downgraded to be the Drupal admin/multimedia specialist working full time for the College of Arts and Sciences. In retrospect, this turned out to be one of the best jobs on campus. This lasted until 2023. Downgraded again to work for the Office of Information Technology. Not sure why. My goal in my work life is very simple. I just want to do a job and do it to the best of my ability. I always try to over achieve. I always want to help. Helping customers has always been my strongest goal. I made sure all of my employees understood it and did it as well. I think all of the departments in Arts and Science would say I did my very best with the system we had in place. I know Dean Roberts of the college appreciated my help. I hope I can find that type of enjoyment once again wherever life takes me.
