Background

About Martin Durney

As the Aviation Development Director for Burns & McDonnell's Aviation & Federal Group in the northeast, I am responsible for the business development and client service of our airline and airport partners throughout the region. I bring more than 35 years of progressive technical and management experience, including work in both the public and private sectors. My expertise in the planning and design of large scale airport and aviation-related projects is well known to commercial carriers, the Department of Defense and airport authorities throughout the country. Prior to managing the design for Delta Air Lines' new $4 billion terminal program at LaGuardia Airport, I managed all types of design and construction projects including airport terminals, aircraft maintenance hangars, air traffic control towers, airport firefighting stations, multi-story office headquarters and military intelligence facilities. I began my career as a civil engineer in the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey's aviation design division, and worked my way through college as an employee of People Express Airlines, Inc, a predecessor to Continental Airlines.
