JOURNEY IN2 MARTIN’S D.N.A.#LEADERSHIP - My leadership development started over 30 years ago when I decided, as a young man, to quit my family’s house to spend most of the 90’s summers with my aunt & uncle to learn & work hard. My energy, time and efforts were dedicated to the first family start-up, an agricultural business, far far away from home in a countryside of Québec.#ENGINEERING - After six years at Laval University, mastering new engineering skills, it was time for me to jump onboard the corporate wagon. I choose Bombardier, a worldwide mobility leader, where I worked over 20 years in various departments with increasing responsibilities. My engineering journey included interesting work in Experimental; Loads & Dynamics; Technical Integration but also in the Program Office (PMO) and strong symbiose with the Communications; Public Relations and Marketing team.#MARKETING - In 2008, I transferred to the Marketing team of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. Our team was promoting our Q Series (Dash-8) and CRJ Series families, analyzing market trends and support the management team on key deliverables. I was also lucky to be selected in the fifty leaders (so 2% of the team) supporting the launch of the C Series aircraft family (now Airbus A220). Flying in the CS100 / A220 was a nice way to celebrate years of work on the program in summer 2016.#COMMUNICATION- As the Global Airline Executive Seminars Manager; I had the chance to travel and moderate discussions with Airlines Executives from all the regions of the World to better understand customers challenges, needs and meet inspiring leaders.#EVOLUTION - In 2020, Bombardier exited entirely from the Commercial Aviation business. COVID pandemic also forced the cancellation of the Spacejet program from Mitsubishi (MHIRJ) where I was set to safely land and help market another new aircraft project.#TRANSFORMATION - Now in beginning of 2021, I am in the pilot seat and adjusting my flight plan to account for the bad weather and turbulences and I am now in the pilot seat of my own company.
