Background

About Martin S.

With over five years of experience in banking and corporate finance, I’ve contributed to both financial and consulting roles. As an FP & A Senior Analyst and later as a Manager at Cobre—a fintech backed by over $58 million in VC funding—I helped drive company growth by leading budgeting, close, and forecasting processes and reports, while also providing strategic financial insights for business decisions and leading cross-functional initiatives with stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to C-level leaders. Additionally, as a freelance consultant, I have advised various projects and companies, supporting their operational and financing decision-making. My passion lies in creating value for the companies and projects I collaborate with. I do this through a data-centered approach, supported by robust financial models built on a deep understanding of each project. Furthermore, I have 2 years of experience in the banking sector, specifically in banking and capital market operations. I hold a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Javeriana and also have a specialization in Corporate Finance from CESA. For me, curiosity, honesty, and a constant pursuit of excellence are the fundamental pillars for achieving success in any endeavor.
