Over 30 years of experience with various types of special effects and multimedia events. Performances included various locations, venues and cruise line operations. Including theatrical applications, live concert performances and stunts with live performer body effects. Choreographed and managed various pyrotechnic displays from large caliber to close proximity, incorporating flame effects, lasers, theatrical lighting of various types, as well as water fountains and film projection for water screens. Collaborates with various manufacturers in pyrotechnic design; expanding both enhancement of visual effect, to development of environmental friendly products. Product deigns not only enhance performance specifications, but also maximizing upon event or company branding. Contributed toward advancements upon environmental impact; successfully eliminating perchlorate with enhancements on color performance, smoke reduction and debris control. Efficient in conducting risk assessment and hazard analysis, as well as standardizing operational procedures for use of pyrotechnic and gas flame effects. As Pyrotechnic Manager, has managed multiple theme parks for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment with assistance in choreography, use, product evaluation and operational procedures. Currently holds position as Director of Theme Park Operations for Pyro Engineering / Bay Fireworks Company. Honored by working on the NFPA special effects committee for NFPA 160 and 1126, and as a contributing member for the Event Safety Alliance. In addition, contributing as Honorary Chairman for the 2001 International Symposium on Fireworks. Passionate in the ability to utilize every component at one’s disposal for a performance that truly inspires and exceeds the audience expectations…in other words the artistry of the profession.
