Senior Product Owner and SME for multiple radio systems operated by Heathrow Airport Limited; this includes the planned migration of users of 3 legacy radio systems to the digital TETRA platform to provide secure, reliable and resilient communications required for Critical National Infrastructure. Identify new technologies and opportunities to expand and evolve wireless communications to improve processes and ensure wireless comminications help deliver a delightful experience to colleagues and passengers. This role also provides SME and assurance of the distributed shared/common cellular infrastructure deployed at Heathrow by implementation of the UK JOTS standards, providing excellent 3G and 4G in-building coverage of all the UK's Mobile Network Operators and preparing for adoption of the UK Emergency Services Network (ESN). Leading the selection and deployment of emerging technologies including 5G and IoT systems, keeping Heathrow's infrastructure up to date, cyber secure and fit for purpose. Also the Senior Product Owner and SME for the APM award-winning Counter UAV system deployed at Heathrow, assisting in product selection, system design and deployment. Responsible for ensuring systems are legal, fit for purpose and minimise adverse effects to other systems deployed at Heathrow that could impact safe, reliable operations at the airport. A conscientious and professional engineer with nearly 4 decades of experience in various IT and engineering disciplines including IT, radio, electrical, electronic and mechanical.
