About Martin Wang

Hello, I am Martin, I am Gerontology diploma graduate, and a History major undergraduate. I believe an interest in people and society, past and present, is a stepping stone to a progressive society, especially with the increasing emphasis on Humanities and Social Sciences gaining track globally. I strongly believe in further emphasising on such soft topics to create roles that are much more diverse, which can complement other roles specialising in hard skills such as tech and engineering. With globalisation, venturing on overseas internships such as one in Hong Kong in 2018 allowed me to adapt quickly and work in a unfamiliar environment whilst gaining a global outlook and perspective. As part of my educational path, I have worked with various organisations specialising in community engagement and relations, as well as working with vulnerable parties such as low-income families. I have gained much needed experience in handling and managing such projects and activities on a micro-level, and would like to explore opportunities to grow this experience.
