Background
About Martin Wingert
As a Director of Emergency Management at Hofstra University, I leverage my security and safety expertise to support the academic mission and vision of the institution. Prior experience includes over 14 years in the Threat Reduction, Infrastructure Protection Section (TRIPS) of the NYPD's Counterterrorism Division, collaborating with public and private sectors to secure NYC's critical infrastructure. I have managed engineering initiatives aimed at implementing protective design strategies in New York City post-9/11, such as the citywide initiative to protect public spaces from hostile vehicle incidents.
