I am experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in automotive industry and gas for the last 17 yrs. Last employer with a proven track record was Ford, last role was 1 year of data analytics looking at big data sets to help investigate software issues. This was a project Engineer role were I used Jira to track and manage projects, help the team with root causing and managing of projects, either progression or escalation for help needed. My first role within Ford Motor Company was for 12 years working on Quality and Design of current model vehicles in Asia and South Africa regions. This was concentrated on large complex components within the Powertrain/ driveline realm like automatic transmission, transfer cases and differential were I developed and practiced skills as I broadly investigated issues and warranty problems. My report out on such issues were to a range of stakeholders from higher management, suppliers, helping customers overcome complaints or helping hear from customers, helping dealerships diagnose issues correctly and first time correctly. This meant I interfaced the problems to the production plant to other internal groups within Ford which exposed me to many groups and variable issues to define and solve. I am known to be very quick in root causing or noticing error states in either components or system level to even supplier process, as such I have travelled extensively over this time and had the pleasure of working with many culturally diverse teams either at suppliers or Ford plants, core teams and other functional groups within Ford. I have also completed many customer experience/customer feedback sessions either over phone or in person including overseas.
