About Martin Zerweck

Albeit finishing my studies with a Masters degree in Economics, my primary focus of work and personal interest lay with statistical analysis, supported by a self-taught background in computer science, especially working with statistical programming languages like R. Based on my thorough knowledge of multivariate and inferential statistics I have developed a strong affiliation towards machine learning and computer vision methods, which is why wrote my masters thesis about classification algorithms and object recognition in volumetric point cloud scans. My appreciation for computer science and my time as a students assistant at the university have both given me the opportunity to learn and practice various other topics of interest, such as distributed and parallelized computing, network topology, large and modern relational and non-relational database systems as well as system administration and OS virtualization under Linux. My ideal area of work gives me the possibility to satisfy both my main interests in applied statistics and information technology.
