About Martine Devriendt

My philosophy of teaching As we learned from those who taught us, so we continue to learn from those we teach. Nursing is about passing on the knowledge that we gain and continue to gain. There is no better way to learn than to teach others of what we have learned from ourselves and others. I can teach you what I know, but what you learn you will have accomplished independently. I can set the environment, I can give you the tools, but you will explore your journey uninterrupted at your comfort level. I will be there to guide, I will be there to praise, and I will be there when you accomplish and ready for your next learning adventure. Learning is a continuous journey of change and improvement. It is about not forgetting the passion for people. It is about remembering what is most important. It is about being that nurse that inspires other men and women to be. If I were to write a story about nursing, I would write it about those nurses who taught and inspired me. Teaching is a gift that comes from within…it must come from within.
