About Marty Coates

I am a safety orientated results driven individual with 25 years in the construction and maintenance industries. I work well within a team environment as a team member or leader. I have greater than 15 years experience as a supervisor. My views on client focus and team member advancement, training and education have lead to success in managing trade groups both inside and outside my perceived areas of expertise. I am a journeyman Carpenter/Scaffolder with certification as a Tube and Clamp scaffold instructor from OCSA and was the scaffold trainer in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. I was selected to represented both employers and employees at regional committee assemblies on unifying scaffold training across Canada. Over the past 4 years I have been coordinating mechanical teams in a maintenance environment. This has given me a much greater understanding of the process. Working with planning, scheduling, engineering, QA/QC departments. I have become proficient in dealing with these type of projects from budgetary cost reviews through the commissioning.
