About Marty Troyer

Marty Troyer is a husband and daddy, pastor and writer. He’s living his dream life in Houston Texas where they’ve lived since 2008. He and his wife Hannah have three children: proud big brother Malakai (7), little sister Clara (4), and Ruby (1). Marty is the pastor of Houston Mennonite Church: The Church of the Sermon on the Mount. He is an author, writer, and blogger, blogging as "The Peace Pastor" for The Houston Chronicle at blog.chron.com/thepeacepastor/. He's currently writing his first book to be published. Marty is thoroughly Anabaptist, which means he’s passionate about Jesus, shalom, and the joy of relationships in the body of Christ. He loves preaching but watching people he’s empowered to preach even more, encouraging people to become what they were created to be, and dreaming about what Houston could look like if we truly worked to make God’s “kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” Marty is a Wheaton College graduate, attended George Fox Evangelical Seminary, and graduated from Anabaptist Mennonite Seminary with a Masters of Divinity.
