About Martyn Pizer

After attending a foundation course in accountancy at the City of London Polytechnic in 1975, I joined Saunders Wood a three partner firm of chartered accountants. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted to the Institute on 5 November 1980. In 1982 I became a partner of Saunders Wood and in 1985, Ieft Saunders Wood to join Simmons Cohen Fine (now Simmons Gainsford LLP) as a manager. In 1987 I became a salaried partners and in 1990 a full equity partner. Simmons Gainsford LLP is the top 50 West End chartered accountancy practice specialising in high net worth individuals and entrepreneurial businesses. Among my portfolio were a number of law firms where I deal with SAR. I was a general audit partner, a member of the firm’s executive committee, the audit compliance partner and money laundering reporting officer. I had a varied client portfolio and I was also a statutory auditor in Gibraltar where the firm have a branch. I have also been involved in charity corporate governance. On 31st March 2017 I retired from the firm after 31 years. Since then I have acted as Finance Director for the Vintage Group of companies in the Financial Services sector and continue roles as an NED at Vintage Asset Management Ltd and Risk Officer and Board Adviser to 3S Money, an International payments platform. I also act in shareholder business dispute resolutions as well as Finance consultant in a Family Office I am available to help businesses generally, looking for help in achieving their aspirations bringing some 40 years experience from practice life dealing with all manner of business issues. Outside of work my interests are in football, music and film I am married with two children one of whom is a lawyer practicing in the USA and the other is an Osteopath
