I am a recognized Educator, Administrator, Social Policy Expert and Researcher with demonstrated capabilities in sociological issues (reducing veteran homelessness, community development, civic engagement, and Public Health) and behavioral health research (the psychological impacts of poverty on child development and learning, school behavioral health implementation, the effects of stroke on the brain, and geographic psychology) with expertise utilizing both mixed methods and exploratory research methodologies. I am a recognized visionary and transformative business leader in both the private and public sectors. I have managed many business portfolios with years of budget and acquisitions/contract expertise serving as a small business owner and former federal civilian business expert. I am also a dedicated Social Scientist and Social Entrepreneur focusing primarily on the socioeconomic, psychological, and social effects of mental illness in today's society. I have also served as an exceptional and recognized leader in the intelligence community promoting cybersecurity, information sharing, and critical infrastructure protection in an effort to locate and eradicate domestic terrorism in the United States. I have a diverse background to include expertise in post-deployment combat stress, epidemiology of PTSD in military personnel & veterans, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), utilizing multi-dimensional assessment to guide treatment of co-occurring disorders in child and adolescent development, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. A decorated combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps; I have experience and training as a Combat Squad Medic and an overall extensive background providing first responder medical treatment in combat/battlefield settings including lifesaving techniques such as administering Intravenous therapy (IV), phlebotomy, attending to burns, ballistic trauma, and psychological and behavioral changes.
