Experienced Superintendent with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, K-12 Education, Coaching, Strategic Planning, and Educational Technology. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) focused in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. A Motivational Speaker who would love to tell his story to young and elderly people of his success. Dr. Marvin Howard was born in Montezuma, Georgia where he attended both D. F. Douglass Elementary and D. F. Douglass High. Dr. Howard takes proud of growing up in Montezuma and being a member of Bethel AME Church. It was at Bethel in 1981 where he preached his first sermon (“Never Underestimate a Child”). Dr. Marvin Howard is a graduate of Albany State University (B. S. and M. Edu.). He also has a Specialist Degree from Troy State University in Alabama and a Doctoral Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He has been a coach (football, softball, track, and basketball). He served on the Wheeler County Board of Education for 8 years. Dr. Howard teaching career started in Telfair County in 1983 and has been in education for over 34 years. He has held the positions of classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director and Superintendent. Not only is education dear to him but he believes in giving the glory to the one who deserves all the praises (God). He has been a pastor for 36 years. He spent 26 years serving in the AME Church. He has pastored in the South Conference (Richland, Georgia and in Dawson, Georgia); Southwest Conference (Soperton, Eastman, and Alamo, Georgia); and the August Conference (Soperton, Mount Vernon, Ailey, Higgston, and Louisville, Georgia). Dr. Howard is an author and motivational speaker. Dr. Howard currently serves as senior pastor of Corinth C. M. E. Church in McRae, Georgia. He is the proud owner of Howard Mortuary in McRae-Helena, Georgia.
