About Marwan Bitar

I help banks and fintechs bridge the gap between business goals and technical delivery. Over the past 13+ years across MENA, I've guided 10+ financial institutions through core banking implementations, Islamic banking transformations, and digital channel rollouts across Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Jordan. What I bring to the table:→ Translating complex requirements into working systems - from discovery and BRDs through configuration, UAT, and go-live.→ Resolving high-stakes issues under pressure, including data integrity failures, regulatory compliance challenges, and integration defects that matter at the C-level.→ Shortening delivery cycles through structured backlog management, reusable diagnostics, and strong cross-functional coordination.→ Onboarding and mentoring consultants and client teams so solutions don't just launch - they get adopted and sustained. Some highlights of my career so far: Gathered, analyzed, and documented requirements for 30+ core banking features across 3 financial institutions, translating regulatory and business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria. Reduced UAT issue resolution time by 35% and change request backlog by 30% across multi-country implementations. Delivered a complex DB archiving project 25% ahead of schedule through independent business rule extraction and SQL scripting. If you've read this far, chances are we already share an interest in how technology shapes banking. I'm always curious to learn from others, exchange experiences, and explore new perspectives in this space.
