About Mary Alaback

My purpose is to contribute to the world of animation by creating characters that people can relate to. I am passionate about using narratives to tell meaningful messages. I am a recent graduate of the University of Tulsa (May 2017) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Media. Having studied animation and its history for several years, I am fascinated with the medium and my goal is to work in the industry someday. I am pursuing a position in a company that seeks a creative mind to bring characters from paper to life on screen. At TU, I have had the opportunity to execute my knowledge of animation through production of (currently) nine short films ranging from traditional 2D animation to stop motion that all explore the concept of individuality or positive self-image in some form or another. I interned for a creative agency and nonprofit that allowed me to exercise my experience in graphic design.
