About Mary Beth Willcoxon

I am an animator who focuses on working with stories and concepts. My passion expands to every part of the animation process, especially character design and story-boarding. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than fully developing an idea and creating characters that embody that concept. I am very process oriented, and I enjoy the planning stage the most, which is why I am so drawn to story-boarding and character design. My preferred medium is 2D animation, which uses hand-drawn images in a sequence that implies movement. I incorporate a variety of styles in my work, because I believe certain styles work better than others when conveying a particular mood. I always strive to learn as much as I can, because animation is my passion.
