About Mary Brooks

Nice to meet you. In my soul, I'm a writer. In my heart, I'm a wife, dog mom, and animal rescue advocate. In my head, I'm one of the most hilarious people I know.(Even if I'm the only one laughing.) I love music, food, wine, and time with my tribe. I talk a lot, laugh even more, and have been known to spontaneously burst into song for no particular reason. I'm passionately creative and try to live every aspect of my life fiercely, kindly, and joyfully. That passion, joy and fierceness are brought to my work every day. After all, as my #1 mentor used to say,"Great brands don't happen by accident." So, what is this work that I do? I’m glad you asked. I started my career writing All. The. Things. From email and social media, direct mail and press releases, to tv and radio scripts, billboards and yes, even music and pop culture trivia. I then parlayed my creative instincts into the broader challenges of strategy, brand building and evolution; campaign creation and presentation; and multimedia development and production. I thrive on getting in there, getting my hands dirty, and making things (big and small) happen. I’ve also been a tap dancer, a cartoon character, a nanny, a waitress and even a phone book editor.
