My senior executive experience leading organizations of all sizes through complex business operations, developing new initiatives, navigating market changes, and defining effective organizations has prepared me to serve in new capacities. I am interested in a portfolio practice emphasizing, but not limited to, board service, part-time consulting work and interim leadership roles. Financial Growth. I have considerable experience in P&L management with an emphasis on driving growth and have helped organizations create true topline growth via differentiated sales strategies, improved close and take rates, and market expansion initiatives. When operational efficiencies and cost reductions are necessary for margin enhancement, I have the courage, insight, and expertise to help rethink and redesign the business to maximize resources and reduce expenses. Operational Excellence. I know how to define a business plan and rally an organization around goals to achieve exceptional results and high-quality customer experiences. My extensive operations experience, and mentoring of emerging leaders, span various business functions including sales and marketing, call centers, technical operations, warehouse, construction, human resources, public relations, and government affairs. Risk Mitigation. An attorney by training, I can easily identify, and troubleshoot, complex matters. I am also keenly aware of the impact the macro political environment may have on business and can help proactively mitigate risks in this regard. I have been involved in grassroots campaigns at the state and local levels and have effectively lobbied state legislatures and Congress. Corporate Governance. I have had the honor of serving on the board of directors for many organizations, including the Women in Cable Telecommunications Global Board from 2016 through 2020. I currently serve on the boards of the University of Maryland Medical Center and the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation. Given my experience, I understand the critical role that board members play, the role of an effective board and the difference between the board member’s role and that of management. I am ready.
