About Mary Hare

As a committed undergraduate student at North Carolina State University, my academic focus is on Tourism & Hospitality, supported by a minor in Business Administration. Throughout my time in undergrad, I have been given the opportunity to assist with NC State Athletics in their communications department. From this position, I have been trusted with in-game stating, updating social media platforms, and recording short form videos for Instagram stories. Through experiences inside and outside of the classroom, I have become passionate about the intersection between social media, tourism, and architecture. In the future, I am interested in using social media to promote sustainable tourism in smaller destinations while focusing on their architectural history. My end goal is owning my own Bed and Breakfast where tourists will have the ability to simultaneously appreciate the destinations history and scenery. Through highlighting the beauty of the past, we can create an even more beautiful future!
