University Alumni Boards Liaison providing advice and support for board governance and purpose. Manages programs and activities designed to engage and foster lifelong connections for alumni, and students by collaborating with the campus community for each of the Health Science Schools; Medicine, Nursing and Social Welfare. Prepares the budgets, and coordinates all aspects of board meetings including agendas, logistics and speakers. Communicates directly with the Executive Boards, and Deans and advises on multi-year strategic plans for the alumni constituents. Manages all board initiatives: student/alumni mentoring programs, reunions, distinguished alumni rewards, and scholarship awards. Directs the Stony Brook University 9/11 Memorial Ceremony each year. Initiated the University Volunteer Service Day for September 11 to honor the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. Instructor for incoming University Transfer Students providing information about Stony Brook and creating a forum to develop intellectual, social, writing, and communication skills. The seminar course emphasizes institutional expectations to promote student success. Event coordinator for reunions, galas, receptions and mixers. Extensive experience as product trainer and sales consultant.
