About Mary Methot

My career at the United States Postal Service started October 1989, I am currently a Distribution Supervisor. I enjoyed working outside everyday as a letter Carrier, USPS has been a fantastic job to have while raising my children. I am moving forward in life, to a career change in 2018. In 2010 I returned to Greenfield Community College to earn an Associate Degree in Renewable Energy / Energy Efficiency. Working full time and part time enrollment of 6 - 12 credits per semester was quite a welcomed challenge. The focused diligence produced four Dean's list and GPA of 3.63. Skills sets include but not limited to; calculating energy production, use and efficiency ratings; Microsoft word, excel, pdf for data collection and presentation; thorough understanding of the building envelope, air quality, heat gain vs loss, and reducing fuel consumption, concentration in renewable energy. In 2015 I finished my degree and transitioned a career change into Business Management at the USPS. The responsibilities include but not limited to: personal management of over 35 employees, scheduling personal for processing mail volume within budget, daily distribution of all mail arriving, scanning accountability, Excel spreadsheets for weekly scheduling with breakdowns for operations budgeting, reporting accountability, supervising within Union contracts, customer service counter supervision, answering customer phone inquiries, customer service on-line inquiry responses, ensuring all mail is delivered in 2 towns by 25 mail routes, New Supervisor Training Program, daily distribution operations of mail pieces per shift, dock operations of 15 employees receiving and distribution of incoming mail from 30 area Associate Offices while overseeing the machine operations of 30 plus employees processing mail for daily commitments. I have enjoyed the learning experience at the U S Postal Service. It is time for me to move forward as the world is bountiful with new experiences.
