About Mary Milbert
My professional experience is an unusual mix (crime prevention officer which included public relations and community education. Prior to that I spent 10 years as a 911 dispatcher and 9 more as a Special Services Officer (this included animal control and nuisance code enforecement). These positions enhanced my people skills and taught me a great deal about human nature. I also have had training in mediation. Having just finished my Masters degree and taught English composition at Minnesota State University Mankato, I am now embarking on my second career in teaching English to speakers of other languages. My goal is to teach ESL/EFL in a post secondary setting and I'm enthusiastically looking forward to applying my people skills in the classroom.
