About Mary Ortega

I have always thought of myself as a natural helper. In fact, in 8th grade my junior high counselor told me (with little room for opposition) that I would become part of my school’s Natural Helpers Club. And that’s when it happened: I realized that I sparked joy for others when I helped them navigate murky waters. New kid at school? No problem. I’ll tell you which sandwiches to steer clear of at lunch and how to unstick your locker handle in a pinch. My diverse career history has an important, common thread that ties it all together: I love finding ways to help people navigate past obstacles and come out better on the other side. I’ve done this in my past work in the legal field, with youth in education, through mentoring programs, in Diversity & Inclusion offices, and in my current role at Greenlight Guru. I excel in developing effective training and education that empowers employees to confidently use business tools and software so they can get their work done faster and better. My ability to create relationships across teams allows me to quickly identify potential enhancements for growth. I believe that people perform their best when they are confident in their use of the tools at their disposal and I am deeply committed to seeing that to fruition.
