About Mary Pines

My mission: the evolution of what know as "healthcare." With 23 years of experience and a PhD (Cambridge - Molecular Biology, Genetics, & Biochemistry), my passion for precision, practicality and people fuels my drive to help foster a new paradigm in healthcare. This calling was initially born of my own experience trying to navigate a medical system that didn’t help me. Long story short: Following an extremely challenging experience trying to navigate my health in my mid-30s, I transformed my 15-year year career as a Biomedical Research Scientist into a new kind of health consultancy (Innate Wellness) that is comprehensive, data-driven and integrative on a level that goes above and beyond conventional. Data-driven approaches drawn from modern and ancient medicine, combined with a deeply personalized, human touch optimize every level of person's wellbeing. Along the way, I educate, empower and advocate for them on their journey to better health. Creation of Innate Wellness lead me to co-found and serve as Head of Health Science for the world's first all-in-one, integrative health platform, Maka Health. I believe that the future of healthcare must be rooted in prevention and optimization. Wholly integrative, it encompasses all aspects of a person's wellbeing, addressing root-cause issues, not just symptoms, leaving pharmaceutical drugs and surgery as last resorts.
