About Mary Schultz

I teach online college level English Composition and Interpersonal Professional Communications classes for Ultimate Medical Academy. My passionate, most creative work is done with Alivetek Inc. as an online learning designer, conceptualizing new learning experiences for a variety of learners for both fully online and blended environments. Additionally, I have six years of experience teaching grades 9-12 at all academic levels of English for Crawford Central School District in Pennsylvania. I earned a Masters in Human Resources with a concentration in eLearning which focused on adult learning through the use of technology. I plan/write curriculum, design learning modules, create multi-media learning tools, and assess learning in a variety of ways. In early 2015 with only six months experience as an online college instructor with UMA, I was promoted to Lead Faculty Member of my course. As a Lead Faculty Member, I managed course improvement projects, planned and led online monthly meetings weekly and monthly to share best practices in online learning, and was the point-of-contact for both management and 8-10 other course instructors. I’ve also served as Subject Matter Expert for 2 curriculum redesigns in which I gave feedback and designed coursework that met course objectives. I was awarded the “Above and Beyond” award in my current position at Ultimate Medical Academy and continue to earn recognition with both Gold & Silver Distinction medals for my discussion facilitation. Additionally, I provide instructional and curriculum design services to Alivetek Inc. where I design innovative online learning pieces for clients using a myriad of technologies. I'm involved in learning from conception to delivery.
