About Mary Scriven

Mary Scriven graduated from University College Cork with a BCL degree in She then studied with the Law Society in Dublin and qualified as a Solicitor in 2003. Since 1994 Mary has worked in the Litigation Department at Cantillons Solicitors and is regarded as a leader in the legal profession. Mary specialises in representing the underdog and taking on big organisations, fighting for her client's rights. Mary has successfully represented clients in the Circuit, High and Supreme Court. She has also represented clients before the European Court of Human Rights, in Strasbourg, France. Mary has represented clients in cases following Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work, Fatal Claims, Defamation Claims, Personal Injuries Claims, Public Liability Claims (slip & fall type actions), Product Liability and Farm Accidents Claims (to name just a few). Mary has also fought tirelessly for those who have suffered as a result of Sexual Abuse. She is regarded as one of the leading solicitors in this area. In 2014 Mary successfully brought the Irish State to account before the European Court of Human Rights in the landmark judgement of O'Keeffe v Ireland. The Firm, Cantillons Solicitors, has several different Departments. The Firm, as well as having a renowned Personal Injuries practice, also represents clients in Professional Negligence Actions,Commercial Litigation and Property Disputes.
