Why you need change management? Believe it or not - employees ARE willing to change- the systems they're using- the processes they're following- their ways of working- their mindset or behaviours,(or whatever the change happens to be). However, if the change initiative isn't well organised and leaders don't seem to be aligned, regardless of what's changing - even if for the better - it won't stick! Afterall, why should employees change when leaders are sending mixed messages? Even when there is alignment and agreement on the change, is the case for change clear and compellingl to those who will be impacted by it. When people don't understand why they are changing, that's when confusion, resistance, and perhaps even sabotage is likely arise. Even if this does not delay implementation, it will probably delay adoption of change and potential benefits of change being realised. Given that success depends ultimately on people - using a system, following processes, adapting their ways of working - it's essential they know what it means for them and what they need to do differently. A thoughtfully planned approach to change, a rythym that works for the business, good change sponsorship ais more likely to bring people involved in change on the journey. Where do you start?
