About Mary Tran

As an inpatient pharmacist, I apply my PharmD to provide safe and effective medication therapy for hospitalized patients. I work with a team of pharmacy technicians, nurses, and physicians to ensure accurate and timely dispensing, administration, and monitoring of drugs. I also use my organization skills to manage inventory, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives. Prior to becoming an inpatient pharmacist for a large-volume hospital in June 2023, I completed a one-year fellowship in Association Management, where I gained valuable insights into the advocacy, education, and leadership roles of pharmacists in the state. I graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 2022, where I learned the fundamentals of pharmacy practice, research, and ethics. I am passionate about advancing the profession of pharmacy and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based and patient-centered care. Prior to graduation, I was a pharmacy intern at ACME Sav-On pharmacy and Einstein Medical Center where I refined the skills aforementioned to become a better pharmacist. I am passionate about patient safety and have been trained in adverse effects and reporting. I also have knowledge on USP 797 which allows me to the ability to prepare intravenous medications utilizing aseptic technique. Throughout my practice, I have developed interest in the fields of dermatology, oncology, and social determinants of health. Eventually, I hope to reach my goals and be in a role that allows me to further explore my interests.
