About Mary Vu

I am a sophomore in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working toward a degree in Business Analytics, a minor in Information Sciences, and a collateral in International Business. I have excellent time management skills combined with strong development in analytical skills. I cultivate my time management skills in my current role as Secretary in Knoxville's Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement chapter, a non-profit organization under the leadership of the Catholic Church. In this position, I manage and organize official documentation, curate lesson plans, and assist with communication cross-state. Additionally, my internship abroad in Tokyo, Japan allows me further my analytical expertise. In this position, I promote the company's mission of assisting foreign clients with market entry in Japan by developing the company's public presence online. Some of my business interests include understanding how different cultures require unique and culturally appropriate targeted market strategies. My experiences with data management has prepared me to pursue a career in Information Sciences. My career goal after college would be centered around data and information science. I plan on staying domestically to foster hard skills and hopefully be able to relocate internationally in the future.
