About Mary Yeo

Mary is a certified Project Management Professional (by Project Management Institute), a certified ScrumMaster (by Scrum Alliance), TOGAF 9.2 certified (by The Open Group) and a certified RPA Developer (by Uipath) & a certified AI Ethics & Governance Professional (by NTU) Mary is a Year Coordinator for the 2020 cohort of the Diploma in Business Information Systems (DBIS) and Programme Head for the Specialist Diploma in Applied Artificial Intelligence (SDAAI) for both Work-Study Post-Diploma (WSP) & non-WSP Programmes. Mary started her IT career with StarHub as one of its pioneering batch of systems analysts. Through the years, she was involved in various aspects of corporate solutioning and implementations. She had played an instrumental role to setup and implement the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System and subsequently migrated that to a SAP ECC6 (ERP) System. She joined Republic Polytechnic (RP) in 2010 as an IT Manager to manage government contracts and tenders involving IT systems and services for her end users in the corporate offices. One of the major projects implemented was the successful implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite R12. Mary has since implemented at least 6 complete system development life cycles (SDLC) of mid to large scale ERP projects, ranging from PeopleSoft, SAP to Oracle E-Business Suite. Mary joined RP as a Lecturer in 2012. She has been assuming academic roles of Module Manager and Problem Crafter for modules such as Database Systems, IT Project Management, Business Systems & Business Intelligence which involve the use of enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Workato, SAS Visual Analytics and Tableau. For Continuing Education & Training (CET), Mary has been conducting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) courses & Mining Data for Insights @ Work CET classes as part of SkillsFuture initiatives to equip adult learners with Emerging Tech to improve their office productivity. Mary has also been providing IT consultancy services to companies such as Katoen Natie Singapore (Jurong) Pte Ltd, IMDA and HDB to help them develop their first use cases using UiPath. Outside class, Mary is active in student development & mentoring activities. Her students won the PolyFinTech100 API Hackathon 2021 and ideaSLAM! 2021 competition. Mary's students have been appreciative of her mentoring efforts. Mary has won the Top 100 Most Appreciated Mentors & iCare Awards for 2016-2021. Mary is also a staff champion for developing Peer Support Mentors/Student Leaders in her diploma size cohort of 120-140 students.
