About Maryam Aghajan

I'm a motivated Informatics student at Northeastern University (soon to be graduate!) with a keen interest in information security and data science. My professional journey began in Quality Engineering and Test Automation, where I built and maintained test frameworks using tools like Selenium and Codeception. Working in Agile/Scrum teams taught me how much good communication and teamwork matter. These days, I’ve shifted gears into cybersecurity as an IT Risk Analyst, applying that same analytical mindset to evaluating risks, supporting compliance, and helping create secure, well-governed IT environments. From assessing control frameworks to spotting gaps before the auditors do, I’m on it! I’m genuinely curious with learning more about information security standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Whether it’s NIST, or ISO, I’m always eager to dig in and help strengthen security posture without sending anyone into a panic!
