About Maryann de Simone

In 2008, I was ordained as an interfaith minister, since I find wisdom in each tradition, and am not attached to one. It's been my great joy to help create and to officiate at several weddings, including a same-sex marriage in June of 2013. I love to assist others in their search for meaning and connection; and to co-create meaningful ceremonies for their important life events. My work experience has included 21 years of elementary school counseling; marriage, family and child counseling in counseling centers and in private practice; parent education; teaching counseling, psychology, and sociology at the college level. I am retired from my work as an elementary school counselor and would also love to use my skills to support parents in their important work of raising loving and productive children. Specialties: My specialty involves helping people see the value in themselves and their children, as they are, and to honor their strengths and talents. This kind of appreciation reduces personal and interpersonal stress.always a good thing.and increases life success and enjoyment. When we give our true gifts, we serve others as well as ourselves. I think we help heal the world by living from the truth of our being.
