About Marybeth Bria

I am a graduated Honors student of Health Information Technology and Medical Coding Billing Specialist at Moraine Park Technical College. My primary areas of study are ICD-10 coding, healthcare statistics and data presentation, healthcare law and ethics, medical terminology, anatomy, healthcare information systems, health data management, healthcare delivery systems, and Microsoft Office software.I achieved an associate degree in Health Information Technology graduating May 17, 2014 and I have completed my Medical Coding Specialist. Due to the increased in the need for health care technology for the up an coming changes in the Electronic Health Records and ICD-10 coding changes. I am very excited to become part of the Registered Health Information Field and all the changes to come. I achieve my RHIT certification with a goal of establishing a career in the health information industry, ensuring quality of medical records, analyzing health care data, and specializing in clinical coding for reimbursement and research. There are so many directions that this career field can take us and I am excited to embrace any and all of the opportunities that may arise. I look forward to both careers to enhance my professional growth.My professional experience includes many years of customer service in the hardware and building business from store layouts, purchasing, sales and business growth. I have chosen the change in profession due to the changes in the building business and my long desire to be in the health management and research field. I am a member of the American Health Information Management Association and Wisconsin Health Information Management Association. I am a Phi Theda Kappa member with a great drive to learn and be successful in any direction that it takes me. I look forward to embracing this new field.
