About Maryjo M.

As the Director of Golf at George Fox University, I oversee both women's and men's championship collegiate golf programs, with 19 years of experience as the Head Women's Golf Coach (11 years as Director). I am passionate about mentoring, motivating, and developing student-athletes, as well as leading successful fundraising and marketing campaigns for the program. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing, which helps me create and implement effective strategies to promote and enhance the visibility and reputation of the program. I am proud of the achievements and recognition our program has earned, including winning the 2023 NCAA National Women's Golf Championship, bringing home 8 NCAA trophies in the last 11 seasons and winning the Northwest Conference Women's Championship for 14 consecutive seasons. I have also coached two National Players of the Year, two Freshman Players of the Year, and multiple All-Americans. In addition, I am a published author of the newly released When Girls Win, a book that shares my 20+ year journey and insights as a female collegiate coach in a male-dominated field, and offers mental toughness tips and self-awareness tools for anyone seeking to achieve their dreams and discover their greatness! I am a strong advocate for women in sports, a thought leader and a frequent speaker at events and podcasts on topics related to coaching, leadership, and higher level performance.
