About Marykate Deluca

Hello! I'm Marykate, a recent graduate with BAs in Politics, Policy, Law & Ethics, and Spanish from Willamette University. While my academic background may not directly align with social media marketing, I am driven by a deep passion for the creativity and power social media has to connect customers and products, and I have the desire to pursue a career in this exciting and dynamic field.During my time at Willamette, I had the opportunity to direct a social media team for our admissions office and learned a great deal about communication and planning in the social media world. In this position, I focused on fostering collaboration to create a diverse perspective of our campus while maintaining a unified brand image. To bridge the gap between my major and the social media field, I have been proactive in searching for real-world opportunities to develop my skills as a director of social media. I have worked as an individual for Sweet Petite Confections and interned for the San Diego Restorative Justice Mediation Program, where I marketed a variety of brands in different contexts.I am actively seeking opportunities to enter social media marketing, whether through internships, entry-level roles, or networking connections. I am excited to leverage my strong work ethic, determination, and passion for content creation to contribute to innovative projects and make a positive impact. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there's an opportunity for us to connect and discuss further.
