About Maryruth Bartkowski

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Denver Public Schools and an intern at Thornton Elementary School, I support students with various communication disorders and learning disabilities. I have over two years of experience as a paraeducator and a tutor, working with diverse and inclusive populations of students and educators. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. I have a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Behavioral Science from Nova Southeastern University, where I gained foundational knowledge and skills in speech-language pathology and psychology. My core competencies include special education, tutoring, assessment, intervention, collaboration, and advocacy. My mission is to help students develop their communication and social skills, and to promote their academic and personal growth. I am passionate about learning new ways to enhance my professional development and to serve my students and community.
