Background

About Marysol Goes

A Master's candidate in Global Governance and Amazon Bioeconomy, specializing in futurism and new economies, with a background in International Relations. Having worked in the Amazon for six years, she supported the establishment of the Amazonian Bioeconomy Hub and the creation of the Women of the Waters and Forests Network (REMAF)—two initiatives connecting over 160 organizations and 70 women leaders defending socio-biodiversity across Northern, Northeastern, and Central-Western Brazil, as well as other Amazonian countries. She has extensive experience in designing public policies and developing entrepreneurship and social innovation programs for marginalized communities within São Paulo's city government. Additionally, she has led projects for immigrants and refugees in collaboration with non-governmental organizations. She spearheaded the Women in the NEW Economy initiative, an independent mentoring program in female leadership that has supported over 120 women from Brazil, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Palestine. As part of her journey, she co-founded the startup Establish Brasil, which facilitated the entry of over 20 foreign startups into the Brazilian market. She was responsible for expanding the company’s operations—and those of its clients—into countries such as Chile and Peru. Her core areas of focus include green economy programs, bioeconomy, and the empowerment of Indigenous, Quilombola, and riverside women in Brazil and across the Pan-Amazon region.#collaboration #diversity #transformationalnetworks #naturalcapital #nature-basedsolutions #greeneconomy #bioeconomy #amazon #socialinnovation #regeneration #entrepreneurship #publicpolicy #policyadvocacy #womenofthewatersandforests #networkgovernance #complexity
