About Masahiro Ono

I am the author of the book "Why Japan's Digital Transformation Remains Incomplete: DAP - The Final Piece Connecting Systems and People"" available only in Japanese) My career has two unique aspects. The first is that I have experience as a researcher, consultant, and leader of a B2B SaaS startup. I began my career as a researcher at NEC Corporation. I then left to pursue a doctoral degree, where I deepened my expertise in data analytics and AI. Subsequently, I led strategic projects as a strategy consultant at Accenture and an AI & Analytics consultant at IBM, bridging the gap between business and technology. Currently, I am serving as the Representative Director of WalkMe K.K, a leading company that created the Digital Adoption Platform category. The Digital Adoption Platform is a must-have solution for CIOs and CDOs to maximize the power of technology and ensure the success of DX (digital transformation) projects. The second unique aspect is my experience leading various functions within a B2B SaaS startup. I joined WalkMe in November 2019 as a PreSales professional. I then expanded my responsibilities, overseeing PreSales, CSM, Professional Services, and Support departments. In February 2023, I became the Representative Director overseeing the entire company. Currently, I manage the entire business in Japan and report directly to the Global CRO.
