About Masami Doi

Masami Doi leads Kreab’s operations in Japan, leveraging his extensive experience in public affairs and corporate communications in Japan and globally. He also serves as Senior Fellow Professor at Yamagata University. A 30-year veteran of Toyota Motor Corporation who headed the automaker’s global communications activities, Masami joined Kreab in January 2014. Masami, who spent the last six years at Toyota in charge of public affairs, has extensive experience of reputation management, including leading on the company’s response to recall issues in the U.S, as well as of corporate planning, sales and marketing and human resources. Masami spent a number of years posted overseas with Toyota in Europe, and has worked extensively in the Americas and Asia. He is fluent in English, Russian and Czech, in addition to his native Japanese. Masami contributes articles to the Business Insider Japan as a special columnist.
