Growing up in a family where many complex situations took place and little was spoken, I subconsciously trained myself at a young age to observe non-verbal communication. I looked for ways to express myself. Dance was a natural consequence of this. And thanks to many embodied journeys and encounters with various wonderful beings, I know there is an impact to be made in this world if we work primarily from our bodies. My heart beats for providing a safer space where through a psycho-social, playful, physical approach self-esteem and authenticity are strengthened. With an empathetic eye for the individual and the whole. Sincere contact. Truly seeing the person. Regardless of age, who you are, in what situation you are in, where you came from and where you are going. I work and live from a positive philosophy and easily see connections. I am used to leading a group in such a way that mostly everyone feels involved and responsible, so that we really do it together. While being with the other, I hold the space in a way that allows the person to connect with their own body, feel free(er) and from there be able to be in the moment. Inner rhythms, stories and landscapes become heard, felt, Mascha Tielemans, born in 1985 in Geldrop, the Netherlands, works as a dance artist, applied psychologist, coordinator, producer and organiser in the field of art, education and healthcare. She is located in Senegal and the Netherlands. Mascha works with individuals and groups through her company MAS & CO. and in cooperation with different organisations. She ran a dance studio in Haarlem for 5 years. Made several dance performances on location. She worked as a coordinator for the Youth Culture and Sports Fund in Haarlem, she was the manager of a music band called Sabali and worked at Ontmoetingscentrum Zandstroom in Zandvoort, a place for people with dementia. In 2021/2022 Mascha worked as a project manager at Ecole des Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal. Her involvement included developing and implementing dance education projects and teambuilding, coordinating international workshops and performances, developing and coordinating dance workshop days for enthusiasts, supervising team meetings, guiding dance classes and her artistic eye, taking care of communication, social media and photography. Mascha studied Dance, Applied Psychology, Philosophy, Global Development Issues and Interculturality, Non Violent Communication and Dance Therapy.
