Hello everyone, My name is Mason Ewing, I am Franco-Cameroonian, American, and of Jewish faith. I was elected the world's first fashion designer, film producer, costume designer, and decorator despite being blind. Despite the loss of my sight, I have built a thriving career in the world of fashion and cinema. My life, filled with trials and triumphs, is a powerful testimony of resilience and determination. Born in Douala, Cameroon, in 1982, I was raised by loving parents, including my mother, Marie, an inspiring stylist and fashion designer. My journey, marked by challenging moments, forged my determination and passion for the fashion and cinema industry. Indeed, I lost my sight at the age of 14 due to abuse. This trauma could have destroyed me, but instead, it strengthened my belief that creativity knows no bounds, even in darkness. Today, I consider my blindness as a strength that allowed me to create, produce, and inspire. As I often say, losing my sight is the most beautiful thing that has happened to me. My career as a stylist has allowed me to break barriers. My creations have been worn by international personalities, proving that vision goes beyond sight. Fashion, for me, is a means to express my vision of the world. In parallel with my fashion projects, I expanded my horizons to Hollywood, where my company, Mason Ewing Corporation, is involved in film production and various other activities. As a speaker, I share my story of resilience, perseverance, and achievement. My talks explore themes such as personal development, business development, entrepreneurship, creativity in adversity, and building a positive future despite challenges. I am determined to pursue my artistic projects, open doors in the fashion and cinema industry for blind individuals, and inspire the youth to believe in their dreams. My commitment to inclusion, innovation, and empowerment guides each of my initiatives. I am open to conference opportunities and collaborations.
