About Mason Jacob

I'm an aspiring multidisciplinary engineer looking to use my ingenuity and skills to make an impact on the integration of technology into daily life. I am currently part of a groundbreaking International Engineering Program (IEP) at URI, which allows engineering students to immerse themselves in a foreign language and earn two degrees in 5 years. My passion for equal proficiency with both hardware and software has driven me to pursue additional degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathamatics. Through professional and personal projects, I have experience working with programs such as Fusion 360, Multisim, MATLAB, Altium Designer, and more. I am proficient in C++, JavaScript, Java, Python, and familiar with numerous other languages, frameworks and libraries. I am competent with Linux, SSH, AWS, APIs for databases like MySQL, and servers like NGINX. Two of my favorite hobbies are 3D Printing and FPV freestyle drone building and flying. I have built a Voron 2.4 3D printer, numerous drones, and hold a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot's License. I also enjoy hiking, rock climbing, volleyball, and skiing.
