Has 10+ years leading technical development teams, with an emphasis on mentorship and team growth. In past projects, has worked directly under statisticians, physicists, electrical engineers, mathematicians and computing scientists; and has supervised and mentored Juniors who went on to Ivy League PhDs, founding SV-funded startups, and current developers at Google, Microsoft and Amazon. Has 8+ years experience liaising with business and customers to develop business requirements and translate to architecture and development plans for technical teams. Places value on community growth, and has been involved in a variety of research-themed volunteer efforts, to help facilitate collaboration between local industry and the local university, and to help build the pipeline of talent within the Okanagan region in British Columbia.
