About Mason Nowak

I’m not sure how many people go from strength coaching and personal training to IT, but I’d happily recommend it. As a teenager, I was sure turning my favorite hobby into a career was the dream. I loved pushing myself, learning new things, and helping people grow. And for a while, I did exactly that: interning with college teams, learning and writing at elitefts, and personal training at a gym I loved (shoutout to Evolved!). But over time, I started to question whether the fitness world was the right long-term fit. Rewind a bit further, I took coding classes in high school, built my PC, and briefly took classes as a Software Engineering major. Tech was always an interest of mine, but I didn’t always have the confidence to pursue it. That changed when I enrolled in the cybersecurity program at Centriq. Learning about IT reignited that passion to be stronger than ever, and now I’m excited to build a career that lets me keep helping people, solving problems, and staying curious. I’m currently looking for entry-level helpdesk roles where I can keep learning and grow into the field. P.S. I split my free time between tabletop, board, and video games… AND the gym.
