About Mason Sheehan

As an Advanced System Controls Engineer at Dakota Tube, I apply my robotics and automation expertise to enhance the manufacturing processes of hydraulic fluid line systems for various industries. I design, produce, and implement automation solutions for a manual production facility, creating automated improvements for unique manufacturing processes. Some of my achievements include installing a vision system for defect detection, developing robotic arms for material handling, cutting, and bending operations, and increasing efficiency, quality, and safety by 35%, 40%, and 50% respectively.I have a strong engineering background, with an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Robotics Technology/Technician from Lake Area Technical Institute, where I learned how to use SolidWorks, Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic, and other software and hardware tools. I also have experience in the medical and agricultural industries, having worked as a Systems Plant Engineer at 3M for two and a half years, where I maintained control systems and electrical equipment. In addition, I am a certified Public Safety Rescue Diver, and I have been volunteering with the Codington County Search and Rescue team for over seven years, performing underwater search and recovery missions. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to solve complex problems and enhance productivity and innovation.
