Grant and proposal preparation and management, integrated circuit foundry administration, magnetic microscopy, low field and cryogenic magnetic resonance imaging, superconducting electronics, thin film device fabrication, silicon micromachining, process characterization & optimization, failure analysis, high sensitivity circuit design, cryogenic packaging, low noise measurement, and system design & integration; Facility Security officer. • As a Principal Investigator of many programs supported by DOD, DOE, NASA, NIH, and NSF, prepared numerous proposals and grant applications and secured support for R&D projects, including receivers for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems, voltage standard systems, analog and digital magnetometers, and superconducting devices and integrated circuit processes. • Currently developing ultra-low noise cryogenic-based receiver systems for MRI systems. • Currently managing the design, integration, and production of custom-made voltage standard systems (licensed from National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST)), which are being installed in National Standard laboratories around the world. • Invented and developed a digital magnetometer with sensitivity approaching quantum limit. Optimized this sensor for a fetal magnetocardiography system. • In collaboration with Vanderbilt University, developed an ultra-High resolution magnetic microscope for biological research with spatial resolution better than 300 micrometers. • In collaboration with the NIST and Stanford University, developed an ultra-low noise amplifier system for readout of Infrared detectors. This amplifier system was chosen by NASA as one of its Small Business Innovation Research success stories. • Developed a complete Integrated Circuit (IC) process and, as a key team member, established the first affordable commercial foundry line for fabrication of all niobium-based circuits. More than 80% of superconducting ICs worldwide are produced in this line.
