About Massimo Buiatti

Massimo is an executive with over 20 years of expertise in operations management and information technology services mainly for energy, utility and environmental services industries. Given his particular career path he has the opportunity of leading digital and cultural corporate transformation initiatives and develop - in a transversal way - projects linked to the green transition and business sustainability in line with the principles of the circular economy. Member of the executive committée of AcegasApsAmga (Hera group), he is currently the director of the environmental services line of business where he is further developing operations (with focus on sustainability and digitalization) and expanding the service footprint in the north east part of Italy. In the last years he had the opportunity to lead various business functions (es. customers, billing, engineering, logistics, IT, energy mangament) which allowed him to have a detailed, 360-degree view, of the industrial sector of reference. He also contributes (has contributed) to the governance of various companies of the Hera group as chairman or board member in Italy and abroad. Project / program manager in Business Integration Partners and Deloitte Consulting where he led several successful IT and business transformation projects for major Italian utilities and manufacturing companies. Specialties: his professional background includes in-depth competencies in operations management in energy and utility and environmental services industries (in particular customer, field force, meter to cash, asset management), innovative digital transformation initiatives (e.g. gas and electricity smart metering / IoT), Italian Energy and Environmental regulation, project and program management for large IT integration programs, IT enterprise architectures.
